Structure: Elvira Fault, J.D. Fault; Pebble Dike
Alteration: Intense Therma & Hydro Thermal
Deposit: 115 cars ore shipped from apr 1936 to apr 1938. A small amount oxidized ore was produced prior to 1930, but major production was from 1936 when h. Dolezal and e. Johnson discovered high-grade gold ore in an open cut. Carissa mine was 2nd in production of the copper basin mines prior to duval's open pit, which now encompasses carissa claims. In 1950's workings consisted of a glory hole, haulage ways and level workings ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Deposit type: Skarn Au
