Spor Mountain District

A N-S-trending, linear, detached summit on the western margin of the Thomas Range.

Mineralization is beryllium, fluorite and uranium mineral deposits hosted in Mio-Pliocene volcanic rocks (tuffs, breccias, rhyolite and rhyodacite intrusions in a Paleozoic sedimentary series). The fluorite is massive, in varying shades of purple, showing box-work structure. These volcanic formations are F/Be-mineralized.
