A former small underground Cu-Ag-Pb-Zn-Au-Mo-W mine located in the NW ¼ sec. 6, T.18S., R.13E, ¼ mile S of Twin Buttes. Produced intermittently from 1900 to 1957. Owned at times, or in part, by Baxter; the Twin Buttes Mining & Smelting Co.; Bush & Baxter Mining Co.; Midland Copper Co.; Foy; Amuran Mining Co.; and the Banner Mining Co.

Mineralization is a series of relatively large irregular and tabular copper sulfide orebodies along bedding planes and a sheared fault contact zone in garnetized and silicated, pyrometamorphosed Paleozoic limestone. Some shattering controlled fluids. Some enrichment. The Precambrian granite is somewhat mineralized also. Alteration includes garnetization, silication and pyrometamorphosed limestone; partly oxidized. Depth to top of the ore zone is 134.11 meters and the depth to the bottom is 213.36 meters.

Workings include shaft operations to a depth of 213.36 meters. A 900 foot inclined shaft and extensive underground workings were developed. Produced some 122,000 tons of ore intermittently from the early 1900's through 1957. Total production as of 1948 was $1,747,852. The ore averaged about 4.2% Cu, 1 oz. Ag/T and minor Zn & Pb.
