Abandoned tuff quarry (small sandpit), in the pyroclastic formation of the so-called Hüttenberg pumice tuffs ("Hüttenberg-Bimstuffe", alkali-trachyte).
Xenoliths of different origin: mica schists, crystalline schists, metasomatites, sanidinites, subvolcanites, carbonatites, selbergites, and alkali basalts.
Located between Dachsbusch Mt. and Hüttenberg Mt, near Glees and about 2.5 km SSE of Niederzissen.
