Structure: The Main Junction Of Pelican Fault With Palomas Chief Fault Occurs On These Claims. The Area Is Extensively Fractured By Faults Trending Northwest To East-West.
Deposit: Deposits occur in veins and shoots within faults and fracture zones, or in beds and pockets along gently folded bedding planes. Most high grade ore was found below impermeable shale at intersections of faults and fractures. 3 patented claims, mineral survey nos. 369, 914, 1478, covering about 50 acres.
Geology: Additional host rock formations are penn. Magdalena group, miss. Kelly fm., miss. Lake valley fm., dev. Onate fm., ord. Valmont fm., and ord. Montoya fm.. For regional trends and general geology see hermosa district.
Rock formation(s): Fusselman Dolomite;Percha Shale
Ore(s): Mineralized Solutions Rising From A Shallow Igneous Mass Were Channeled Along Fault Zones And Localized In Fractures And Bedding Planes Beneath An Impermeable Layer.
