A former small underground Ag-Au-Pb-Cu-Zn mine located in the center of sec. 27, T.21S., R.9E. Produced 1880-1936. Owned at times, or in part, by the Oceanic Gold Mining Co.; Ish; the San Luis Mining Co.; and, Simmons.

Mineralization is weathered and oxidized quartz-fissure veins with spotty base metal sulfides, enriched in gold and silver near the surface, cutting Cretaceous sedimentary beds close to a Laramide granitic intrusive.

Workings include shaft and tunnel operations. Worked intermittently from the 1800's to 1936, producing some 2,000 or more tons of ore averaging about 0.5 oz. of both Au&Ag/T, and minor lead and copper.
