Commodity: Oakland mine appears to have more calcite and barite than the other mines. Also several tons of galena were taken from an adit at the east end of the vein. A composite of samples containing 40% or more caf2 showed 53.89% caf2, 21.12% sio2, 18.38% caco3, and 6.50% baso4.
Deposit: Universal vein strikes N 70 w, dips steeply south, is about 180 m. In length and about 3 m. Wide. Oakland vein strikes N 65 w, dips nearly vertically, averages 3.5 m. Ide for a length of 105 m.. It consists of a set of fractures 1.5 to 7.5 m. Wide in the eastern half where displacement of 3 m. Was observed in the white sandstone, and 3 to 15 m.
