Eroded volcanic neck rising 240 m above the surrounding plain.
Mount Říp (German: Sankt Georgsberg) is with its 460.8 m above sea level already visible from afar and a distinctive hill four kilometers south of Roudnice nad Labem. The previously stated height of 455 m above sea level is the height of the geodetic point, not the highest point. Its top is located in the cadastral area of Mnetěš. The top of Říp with the Romanesque rotunda of St. George rises about 200 meters above the surrounding flat landscape. Říp Hill with the rotunda is protected as a national cultural monument.
