Salinas de Paredes de Sigüenza

Old saltworks, nowadays abandoned, located in the Río Salado basin. They consist of two wooden waterwheels, a warehouse and several pools. These saltworks came into operation around 1900 and are small in size, compared to those in La Olmeda or Imón. They were in operation until 1965. The crisis in the sector and the preponderance of the La Olmeda and Imón saltworks precipitated its closure.
