A former W-Baryte-Fe-Cu occurrence/mine located in NW¼ sec. 25, T6N, R15W, G&SRM. Owned at times, or in part, by Contreras, Cochoe and Rowland (100%) (1955). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 100 meters.
Mineralization is disseminated blebs and pockets of scheelite with quartz, siderite, baryte, iron oxide and copper staining in small, narrow stringers in silicified Late Permian marble cut by faulting, with associated diabase dikes. Local alteration includes silicification. Local rocks include Paleozoic sedimentary rocks and Holocene surficial deposits.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an open cut, an adit, pits and tunnel openings.
Production was some 100 or more tons of 0.5 to 0.7% WO3 that were produced since the mid-1950's.
