A former underground Cu-Ag-Au mine
A Cu-Ag-Au mine located in North-central (NW¼NE¼) sec. 13, T5N, R15W, on land of unknown status. Owned and operated by the the Dona Kay Mining Co. (1956).
Mineralization is spotty copper, silver and gold ores, mostly oxidized, with quartz gangue in an irregular deposit in a fissure zone in metamorphosed Mesozoic sediments cut by intrusive dikes.
Workings include a shaft(s). This mine produced some 100 tons of ore in 1956 at 0.8% Cu, 0.8 oz. Ag/T, and 0.03 oz. Au/T.
