A former surface quartzite quarry (silica for smelter flux) located in the western part of sec. 28, T.19S., R.25E. Owned by the Gilbert Construction Co.
Mineralization is an outcrop of Bolsa Quartzite. Weathered quartzite along Turquoise Ridge provides the gravel that is mined.
Workings are a quarry operation. Over 2,000,000 tons of rock have been produced from 1959 through 1971.
