A former small surface and underground Cu-Ag-W-Pb mine located in the central-border of sec. 28 (W½) & sec. 29, T23S, R20E. First produced 1900 and produced during WWI. Owned by E. Neel and Frank Kitchen, Phoenix, AZ.
Mineralization is a lens-shaped ore body striking N20E and dipping 33NW, at 0.61 meters wide, bearing argentiferous galena and minor chalcopyrite, partly oxidized, with spotty, disseminated scheelite in a quartz lens along a fault zone cutting exotic blocks of paleozoic limestone in Triassic-Jurassic volcanics. Ore control was a thrust fault.
Workings include a small shaft and surface workings. Small, erratic production of silver-lead and copper carbonate ore during the early 1900's.
