Al-Qutayfah (sometimes also spelled as Qutaifa, Al-Ktayfa, and Ktaifa) is a city, capital of the homonymous district of the Rif Dimashq Governorate, located about 40 km NE of Damascus.
A metatyuyamunite specimen from a chert-phosphorite occurrence in the surroundings of Al-Qutayfah is preserved in the systematic mineral collection of the Fersman Mineralogical Museum, Moscow (cat. no. 63522).
