An V occurrence located in sec. 1, T40N, R28E, G&SRM, just north and down dip of Gila Mine, on the N flank of the Toh-Atin anticline. Prospected by
Vanadium Corporation of America in 1942-1943 for vanadium only. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate to the center of sec. 1. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database.
Mineralization is a V deposit hosted in the lower 20 feet of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation.
Workings include surface openings comprised of about 5 small prospect pits and several shallow trenches cut in shallow dip slope of the Morrison Formation. Radiation level is 30X background maximum.
