An U-V occurrence/mine located in secs. 11, 12, 13, 14, T40N, R28E, G&SRM, 4.8 km (3.0 miles) NW of Black Rock Point (coordinates of record),
just S of the George Simpson #1A and B Mines. The geographic coordinates presented are for the common corner of all 4 sections.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite bands and lenses localized in the Salt Wash Wash Member at sandstone-mudstone contacts, sedimentary structures and pockets of carbon.
Workings include underground openings comprised of an incline (now caved).
Production was 32 tons of ore @ 0.17% U3O8; 1.34% V2O5 (1961-1962 & 1965).
