The Trapero mine is one of a number of uranium mineralizations worked in the latter half of the twentieth century. Uranium ore is found as fissure filling in fractures of a vein of quartz and jasper, with subvertical dip, and a maximum thickness of 3 metres. Today, the mine is closed and restored.
