Structure: Tight Folding Of Limestone; Steep Normal Fault Near Center Of Claim Area Thrust Fault
Alteration: Silicification, Tasperoid Development
Deposit: Appears to occur at point where fault intersects a gentle anticlinal structure plunging west. 3 zones of mineralization; main zone-the discovery outcrop-is a silicified zone about 100 ft long, 10-20 ft wide outcropping along an e.w. Trending dry wash. Cinnabar and calcite occur As veinlets and coatings along bedding plane and fractures surfaces in silicified carbonaceous limestone. Best mineralization occurs on the south or footwall side of this structure, which occurs on eastern limb of a tightly folded syncline plunging nw. Western limb of syncline contains traces of cinnabar. Samples from the main eastern zone assay As high As 147 lb hg/ton, of course for a very narro W zone on footwall of outcrop. A 7.5-ft chip sample across west face of the outcrop assayed 7.8 lbs hg/ton. West of the main mineralized area cinnabar occurs along the steep range front fault where silicification can be seen for several hundred feet each way along the fault trace. About 600 ft up the wash to the east, cinnabar occurs in a silicified zone along a N 10 W fault structure. Mineralization
