- For a short time, the no. of the mine was assumed to be "8". Comparison of GPS coordinates and old maps (1950s-1960s) of the C.F.M.L. (La Compagnie Française des Mines du Laurion, a French mining company) confirmed the correct number "28"; the adit numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8 are close nearby.
- "Fofoles Mine" apparently designates the upper adit of this mine.
