Historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in the Nevşehir, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Aksaray, and Niğde Provinces in Turkey.

The eruptions of volcanoes in Central Anatolia, mainly Erciyes and Hasandag, caused the region to be covered with a thick stratum of lava and volcanic ash, while a dense tuff layer formed on the surface.
