This mine produced the first batch of yellow cake uranium in December 2010.
Estimated production of 21 tons of uranium per year.
According to the Institute for Science and International Security, the mine's output is inadequate for meeting the refueling requirements of a single 1,000 MW electric power reactor but would be adequate for a nuclear weapons program based on highly enriched uranium.
