A former mica mine.
Located about 3 kilometres north north-west of Ilpere/Prosser Bore. The mine is on flats 250 metres north of an isolated hill called Miller's Knob. A faint track leaves Prosser Bore in the direction of the mine, but the track appears to become indistinct after a short distance.
The mine contains an open cut(now probably much eroded), 70 feet long, 40 feet wide, 10 feet deep, on an irregular un-zoned pegmatite. The pegmatite contains massive quartz-feldspar-muscovite rock, with common schorl and apatite. When inspected in 1962, the site also contained a rubble filled shaft.
Rochow states a number of quartz en-echelon reefs occur to the west of the workings. There also appears to be several scattered minor workings, within 2 kilometres east of the mine.
