Latitude & Longitude (WGS84): 22° 59' 30'' South , 135° 45' 37'' East

In 1988, Ben and Sam Pope discovered a large but poor quality rose quartz seam here. The quality was good enough for samples to be sent to the United States and Indonesia to test the market, but maybe poor enough that nothing more was heard. Trace hessonite garnet was also noted.

The map supplied in the company report is basic in the extreme with no scale. We suggest from interpreting the map the location is approximately 5 kilometres south of the old Jinka homestead turn-off on the Plenty Highway. No access tracks could be seen to the deposit. The Mindat map is very approximate, and denotes the general area only.
