The site contains a number of shafts, pits, trenches, and shallow holes along a length of 100 metres. The workings are concentrated on two parallel shear zones, trending west north-west, dipping 75 degrees north. The shears are hosted by Ankala Gneiss, containing much biotite-muscovite. There is quartz veined kaolinite schist, mylonite, and jasperilitic ironstone in the shear zone. A trench in the northern section graded at 0.52 g/t Au, and the highest for the area overall was 0.96 g/t Au for one metre when tested by Australian Anglo American Ltd in the mid 1980's.
The mine borders the western side of the track from Harry Bore to the Winnecke Goldfield, half-way between the turn-off to Sloan's Gully, and its intersection to the track to Sliding Rock Well.
