An open pit gold mine 180 Km south of Bamako, in the Massigui (Bogouni) greenstone belt.

One of Mali's largest gold mines.

The gold mineralization is hosted in flat-lying meta-graywacke.

Note on the mineral list: Hammond et al. (2011) also mention very minor Sb–Bi ore minerals.

Planned to close in 2019.
