Burnt, post-coal-mining heap. Black-block-like zone present, thus confirming the occurrence of fire in the heap and natural genesis of at least some of the pyrometamorphic products of the heap. Some buchite-like rocks also present may be of anthropogenic (oven) origin.

Note: the terms "heap", "dump" or "gob" are all correct though informal names; the term "pile" is also correct, though sometimes reserved for conical objects. The formal name is bingstead.
