A 'blow' is a large surface outcrop of quartz. While a blow exists near the site, the gold is found a little further north in Big Blow Chert, a rock unit with a 25 kilometre strike. Some minor historic workings exist at the site.
The remaining resource is estimated at 120 000 tonnes of ore at 1.46 g/t yielding 5700 ounces of gold. The site is 3.7 kilometres south of Bardoc.
Due to the number of small workings in the area, the Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
