Ordinary Low-Iron Chondrite (L6)
Fell, 3 April 1889; 11 kg

After a fireball and detonations, a single stone was found. Olivine, pyroxene, troilite, and Fe-Ni metal were reported or acknowledged in several publications authored by George Thurland Prior and others. Glass (~15 vol%) , partially devitrified, is quite prominent. Small grains of diopside and albitic plagioclase are also reported.

Lundsgård is one of two witnesses L6 chondrite falls recovered from Sweden. Most of the mass (~9.5 kg) has been preserved in Stockholm at the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet.
