Some 30 kilometres east of Widgiemooltha and 10 kilometres north of Lake Cowan. This is an undeveloped nickel deposit. Estimated resources is 554 000 tonnes of ore at 3.0% Ni yielding 16 700 nickel metal tonnes. It is part of the north-west to south-east Mons-Bluebush nickel belt.
Discovered 1975. The deposit consists of three gently south-east plunging lenses. Mineralisation extends for 850 metres length. The host is talc, carbonate and chlorite rocks. Mineralisation is layers and lenses of pyrrhotite, or pyrite, with breccia sulphides up to 15 metres thick at the contact. The basal few metres contains disseminated and blebby sulphides. Ni grades 1.0-1.5 Ni in the second source.
Like many Western Australian Geological Survey publications, the co-ordinates listed in the source are incorrect, placing it about 50 kilometres west of its real location. Listing on Mindat based on separate maps, and are approximate.
