North and Western Region; Cumberland
Small openwork, allegedly created in 1978 by and named after the 1970's Cornish mineral dealer and collector R.W. Barstow on the flank of Great Lingy Hill between the Mexico Mines and Clints Gill (an exposure of the Roughton Gill South vein a little to the west of the Mexico Mine High Level. Although the exposure is also known as the 'Mexico Mine open-cut', it may be a collapsed stope).
The source of much fine pyromorphite in the 1970s, but now largely backfilled.
