This extensive site occupies a large part of the west facing hillside the overall effect being that of a shallow scoop removed from the hill. A large reservoir stands on the hill top below which a series of levels marked by spoil heaps have been driven presumably on an ore systems with a strike more or less due west. The lower part of the site has spoil heaps extending almost around the entire eastern quarter as a rim around a bowl like excavated depression. The centre of the excavated bowl is marked by a ruined building adjacent to a shaft. Though no other buildings can be located with ease there are some foundations with a few courses of building stones in places. The area around the extant building and for a considerable distance downslope to the west is surfaced with crushed rock/sand/slimes.
To the south is Glogfawr Mine and the boundry between the two could be considered to be the rough road that crosses the site. The mines were clearly linked at times as shallow ditches for flat rods can be traced on the ground in several places.
