Various finds in well-exposed outcrops in a geologically very diverse (Ampferer, 1932), narrow and partly steep gorge.
Angerer et al. (1976) mention a minor disseminated sulphide mineralisation in a larger ignimbrite occurrence in a side gorge of the Sacktobel gorge, with chalcopyrite, pyrite and malachite.
