EH-impact melt
1992 find, 43.6 g, weathered

Y-82189 is a small stone dominated by homogeneous enstatite grains surrounded by interstitial metallic Fe-Ni, troilite, and plagioclase. No chondrules are present. Minor amounts of reduced phases characteristic of the Enstatite clan (daubréelite, djerfisherite, graphite, niningerite, perryite, schreibersite, sphalerite) are present. Minor silicates, albite and rare fluorophlogopopite, are found as well (first occurrence of phlogopite in an Enstatite meteorite). Classification as a member of the EH Chondrite Group is indicated by the compositions of the Si-bearing metal and niningerite.

Shock effects include undulose extinction in both orthoenstatite & plagioclase. Presumably, shock effects are responsible for some or even most of the melting which has occurred. No indicators of widespread migration or differentiation typical of achondritic meteorites are reported in the cited sources.
