Pulo do Lobo: em termos geológicos aflora aqui a secção tipo da Formação do Pulo do Lobo (Pfefferkorn,1968), magnificamente exposta ao longo do leito do rio, constituída por filitos escuros e quartzitos muito deformados e com abundante quartzo de exsudação. Estas litologias apresentam-se metamorfizadas na fácies dos xistos verdes (Munhá, 1983).
