The station is between Yarrie Station and Shay Gap. The fluorite prospect is at Ngarrin Creek, approximately 27 kilometres south south-west of the Callawa homestead, on a prominent hill west of 17 Mile Bore.
It is hosted by dacitic porphyry stock, intruded into Archean migmatitic quartz monzonite. There are two distinctive rock types. Firstly, a coarse porphyry containing large phenocrysts of quartz, feldspar and vugs of dark blue fluorite up to 50mm across. Secondly, fine porphyry with phenocrysts 3mm in diameter containing microcrystalline fluorite, at the south western end of the hill.
The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
