Under the glacier, there is a prominent rock ridge consisting of serpentinite. Rodingites, diopside and serpentine minerals (lizardite, chrysotile, antigorite) can be found here.
Furthermore, in the frontal moraine blocks up to 0.5 m, consisting of a mixture of ankerite and quartz with minor accessory pyrite, are found.
