Minas del Cerro de la Corte (Cerro Arcusa) - (Mina Santísima Trinidad)


Group of abandoned mines located in the "Cerro de la Corte" (hill) also known as "Cerro Arcusa" to 2 Kms from the town of Torres de Albarracin, the most important went the "Santísima Trinidad" at the W side of the hill into the ravine the "Hontanar".
The mineralization consists mainly of Ag-rich Tetrahedrite (with Freibergite?) in Quartz and Siderite gangue.
Known since ancient times for its silver content (Ximenez de Aragües-1630) were especially important in the mid-nineteenth century.
Currently there are remains of buildings and important dumps.
