Anvil Mine
A lead-zinc mine. Production started in 1970.
The Faro mine was operated by the Cypress Anvil Mining Corporation form the early 1960s through to early 1980s. It later operated through to 1998.
The mine was at one stage one of the largest open pit lead and zinc mines in the world.
The site continues to be remediated by the Canadian Government.
