China clay (kaolinite) quarries south of Mt.Ibity worked by SOMADEX (Société Malgache d'Exploitation des Mines et Carrières) in the 1970-1980s. Located close to the border between the Vakinankaratra Region and the Amoron'i Mania Region, close to the Ibity massif. Worked also for dolomite, talc and some slate.
Mapcoordinates x = 464; Y= 651. Located 42km south of Antsirabe.
