Marble occurrence on the SW slope of Monte Ornato.
Orlandi et al. (2017) use both "Ceragiola area" and "Ceragiola marble quarry."
The area is close to the town of Seravezza. It is a type locality for moëloite, disulfodadsonite and bernarlottiite.
Some nice specimens of ruby red sphalerite were common in these quarries.
The quarries are now abandoned and it is very hard to find new specimens in the old dumps.
Bismuthinite occurs as mm-sized acicular crystals, associated with cubes of pyrite (Orlandi and Campostrini, 2005)
Only 2 specimens of disulfodadsonite are known so far, they have been collected from this quarry in 1980s. It forms thin black acicular crystals up to 3-4 mm in length, in association with boulangerite, calcite and yellow sphalerite.
Marcasite is found very rarely as brittle tabular crystals associated with zinkenite.
Millerite has been found as a spray of brassy yellow acicular crystals up to 3-4 mm in length.
