Old manganese mine, which was included in the Tre Monti mining concession and exploited W-E trending manganesiferous veins dipping 28° N between 910 and 1020 m a.s.l., at Monte Alpe (also known as Monte Alpe di Maissana) in the municipal territories of Castiglione Chiavarese (Genova) and Maissana (La Spezia).
