Deposit: Workings occur along the trace of the big ledge vein which cuts silicified light-colored volcanics. Big ledge vein, described by schrader As the pioneer vein in the camp lying in the east central portion of the original claim block, exposed for 3000 ft. Vein was opened by several different workings from mizpah canyon and from the top by a shaft and adit (sample 3823). At that site, the vein was in a rhyolite breccia with comb quartz, streaks and specks of silver sulfides and gold. Workings were sunk on a pod-like fine-grained comb quartz 30-40 ft wide, at which location the vein bore N 65 E, near vertical. Sample included some adularia and sulfide specks in the quartz and breccia matrix. Schrader reported the lower workings on the side of mizpah canyon to be in good ore following the vein, 2-20 ft wide at that point. Sample 3824 from a prospect several hundred yards s W along same big ledge vein-a small caved shaft on a 3-4 ft wide exposure of white comb quartz with some vuggy quartz and specks of dark grey silver sulfides.
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock
Development: Sold to davis in 1906 who worked mine until 1916 and sold it to jelinek who worked the mine into the 1920's. Staking in 1986 done by spectrum exploration, not on file at courthouse.
Structure: Nne-Trending Range-Front Faults Sheeting, Strikes N75e, Dip 805
Alteration: Silicification
Deposit: Deposit size is 1.25 mi long by 0.5 mile wipe. It is a fault-fissure vein with greenish quartz and callite, which has been more or less crushed.
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock
Development: Later in 1906, the 5 claims were purchased by w.4-davis who in 1909 shipped 30 ts ore by 1913 over 20 tons ore had been shipped. In 1916 w.m. Jenner of goldfield and in 1918 he shipped 6 tones ore. In 1920 there were 10 or more merclaims developed by tunnels and drifts. In 1920 about 2500 ft of workings emsted.
