Famous cobalt(-silver) mining district.

Its western part is in the Ouarzazate province, whereas the eastern part is in the Zagora province.

NOTE: The spelling of the locality is variable:
The historical spelling, inherited from the period when mining started is "Bou Azzer".
Today, it is possible to see "Bou Azer", "Bouazzer" and even "Bou Azar", which is the closest transcription from Arabic.
The CTT mining company keeps on using the spelling "Bou Azzer", sometimes written in one word "Bouazzer". The district name should be written like the mining company does (GF).
