Eclogites outcrop on the small island Bårdsholmen in the Western Gneis Region of southern Norway.
The eclogites occurs as lenses in felsic eclogite-facies gneisses or amphibolite-facies gneisses and as layers in a leucocratic granulite (Svensen et al. 1999).
