Located immediately north of Cananea.
Porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit.
The mine produced 163,804 tons of copper in 2006. It is among the world's largest copper mines in terms of reserves, and has been in continual operation since 1899 making it the oldest continually operating mine in North America.
