Already known during the Roman period for zinc and lead, the Nador n'Bails mine was worked from 1860 until 1978 for antimony, at the same time as the other antimony deposits in the Guelma area - Djebel Debagh, Djebel Taya, Ain Kerma, Djebel Hammimat & Djebel Senza.

The Nador n'Bails mine is the type locality for nadorite, a rare lead and antimony oxychloride, and the only known place in this sector for this mineral.
