Rock quarrying mostly between 2011 and 2016 on the east side Waterbury Road produced some nice blue kyanite and olive green apatite found in quartz-rich boudins in an annite schist matrix. In 2021-2022, quarrying exposed a band of marble associated with actinolite-tremolite.
