This large deposit (0.6 x 1 x 2 km) is one of the biggest in France for copper (500 ppm) and molybdenum (200 ppm), much studied by drilling in 1972 but it has never been mined. It's a "porphyry type" deposit with microgranite veins intrusive in Visean ignimbrites. Copper and iron sulphides are included in quartz veins with sericite/orthoclase but lead and zinc sulphides are in quartz veins with fluorite/baryte. The slope of the D308 road, colored by altered iron sulphides, shows the peripheral area of the deposit.
