The quarry is located on the left side of the river Batura, approximately 2 km SE from Svetliy village.
The host rock for this quarry is carbonaceous and siliceous schists with quartz veins, containing unusual phosphate mineralization (wavellite, atacamite, crandallite, apatite, overite. turquoise, etc.). Some specimens from this quarry are still under investigation.
