Worked from XVth to XIXth century, the "Saint-Guillaume vein" (Sankt Wilhelm in German) was worked by most famous mines of Sainte Marie aux Mines district:
Sankt Wilhelm mine (first level at bottom valley), Sankt Peter low level mine, Sankt Peter high level mine and Gluckauf (worked by the remote fault of the Glückauf mine only and traced from the Sankt Ludwig vein to the Sankt Wilhelm vein in the 18th century).
This part of the Glückauf mine date from XVIIIth century and was only accessible by Sankt Peter high mine and junction with Narine mine (other Glûckauf part from XVIth) is closed.

As this locality lies in the Sainte Marie-aux-Mines district, the place is protected by a archaeological mining district status and all collecting is prohibited.
